Jeremy Lieberman, 6-1 JR PG Calabasas (Calif.) High, is an intriguing prospect with the ability to get his own shot as well as create for his teammates. He’s got deep range on his shot, with a quick release, and he can put up points in a hurry when he gets hot.
I spoke with Lieberman recently and asked about the schools that have been recruiting him to date.
“Wyoming, UC Davis, San Diego, Gonzaga, St. Mary’s, UC Santa Barbara, Utah State, Butler, Boise State, Portland and Valparaiso,” said Lieberman.
Lieberman said three schools have offered so far.
“Wyoming, UC Davis and San Diego have offered,” said Lieberman.
I asked Lieberman if any schools stand out for him at this time.
“Gonzaga, St. Mary’s, Butler, Wyoming and UCSB,” said Lieberman.
I asked Lieberman what he’s looking for in a school.
“Really just the best fit for me,” said Lieberman. “Someplace where they will put the ball in my hands. The location isn’t really a factor; I’ll play anywhere. As far as early playing time, I obviously want to play but I know I have to earn it.”
Lieberman has taken unofficial visits to San Diego State and UCSB. He said he may be taking another visit soon.
“I’ll probably visit Wyoming sometime soon,” said Lieberman.
Lieberman said he’s not sure about the timing of his decision.
“It’ll just be whenever it hits me and the best fit is there.
Lieberman said his GPA is around 3.6.
