Originally Jevon Thomas was a member of the 2012 class and committed to the St. John’s Red Storm. However as time went on he de-committed and eventually signed with the Dayton Flyers. That didn’t work out and Thomas ended up moving to the 2013 class, and now once again he has found a new home.
According to multiple sources Thomas, who is at Dearfield (Wisc.) St. John’s Military Academy has selected Kansas State for his college future. The Wildcats had been putting in the most work with Thomas, who is a New York City native, and that ended up leading to a commitment.
At 6-foot-1, Thomas can really score and has the ability to get to the rim using his quickness and ability to change speeds off the dribble. During his prep year he has been playing well, and that led to the Wildcats making him a top priority.
Kansas State now has three commitments in the 2013 class. Thomas joins guard Marcus Foster and forward Wesley Iwundu in Bruce Weber’s solid three man class.
