Two visits set for Fields
Woodstock (Va.) Massanutten Military Academy wing Ahmad Fields is having an excellent senior season. The 6-foot-4 wing has stepped his game up quite a bit, and new schools are getting involved in his recruitment. "It is feeling good," said Fields of his game. "I feel like I am getting better every day. I am with a group of great players and we are all meshing real well. I feel we can go real far and win a national championship." Since the summer Fields has really stepped up his game, and he says that is a product of effort and hard work. "I've been working on my shooting and dribble pull up," said Fields. "Also I am focused on being more aggressive and getting to the foul line." Currently Fields is one of the better available wings on the board, and he already has set up two official visits. "Recruiting is going well," said Fields. "I have kind of cut my schools, but some new schools have come in. I have a visit to Utah, I am visiting Drexel on December 28. Also I have St. Joe's on my list and I have Ole Miss on my list, Miami just started recruiting me, and that is about it." About the Utah Utes, things just got serious for them in his recruitment, but he really likes what he is hearing. "The coaches have shown me a lot of love," said Fields. "I talk to them like every day. I talk to the coaches like every day, and not just the assistants but the head coach as well. They came to two of my games and have been to my practice and have shown me a lot of love. I feel they really want me." Also the Drexel Dragons have done a good job of staying involved with Fields and were present at his game over the weekend. "Drexel, I talk to all of the coaches and I feel like that is a good fit," said Fields. "I also know a couple of players on the team and I feel it could be a good fit for me." A decision could come at any time for Fields who says he is looking for a close nit atmosphere. "I am looking for a school where I have a family type of relationship with the whole team and a place where the coach is going to look out for me," he explained. "Also I want to go somewhere where I will get better as a player every single day."
