I spoke with Jackson-Cartwright recently and asked about the schools that are recruiting him.
"It's mainly Arizona, UCLA, Washington and UNLV," said Jackson-Cartwright. "And it's really been Arizona and UCLA for about the last five to six months. They're the only two schools that have really been on me."
I asked Jackson-Cartwright if he has a favorite.
"No, I don't have a favorite right now," said Jackson-Cartwright. "But obviously I like Arizona a lot."
With the two Pac-12 rivals being the only schools recruiting him hard at this point, I asked Jackson-Cartwright if he was satisfied with his recruitment.
"I'm pretty content right now," said Jackson-Cartwright. "I'm not really focused too much on my recruitment. I just need to keep getting better."
Jackson-Cartwright was in Arizona this past weekend for the Wildcats' Red-Blue game and I asked him how the visit went.
"It was good, I had fun out there," said Jackson-Cartwright. "I got a chance to see the atmosphere and how they play."
Jackson-Cartwright said he'll probably be going to UCLA for a visit sometime soon.
"I'll probably get out there this weekend or next weekend to see the changes they've made," said Jackson-Cartwright.
I asked Jackson-Cartwright if he plans on watching Arizona and UCLA closely this season to see how he might fit in at either program.
"Yes, I'll be watching them," said Jackson-Cartwright. "Coaches can say they will push the ball and play up-tempo. But you don't know until you see them play. My game is playing up-tempo, so I will be watching both teams to see how they play this year."
I asked Jackson-Cartwright if he has a time frame for picking a school.
"If my recruitment continues like this, I'll probably decide sometime in the spring after my season ends," said Jackson-Cartwright.
