It's been a big weekend for Florida State.
On Saturday the Seminoles scooped up a commitment from the No. 40 player in the 2013 class -- Xavier Rathan-Mayes.
Just a day later Florida State struck again.
This time Florida State dipped into Georgia and reeled in a commitment from Jarquez Smith, a 6-foot-9 forward out of Gray (Ga.) Jones County.
"The reason I liked them was the coaches, the academics, the atmosphere and the players," Smith told Jeff Borzello of CBSSports.com. "Coach [Leonard] Hamilton wants me beacuse I can help score, bring energy and block shots."
Smith, who is known for his skill and ability to shoot, and Rathan-Mayes make up Florida State's current 2013 recruiting class.
Smith is ranked No. 99 overall in Scout.com's 2013 player rankings.
