Martin twins pop for N.C. State

North Carolina State's 2014 recruiting class is off to a great start. They scored a pair of top 35 commitments on Wednesday,

Caleb and Cody Martin are headed to North Carolina State.

The twins out of Mocksville (N.C.) Davie County pledged to Mark Gottfried and his staff late Wednesday night, just a few days before they are set to visit N.C. State for their midnight madness festivities.

Their mother -- Jenny Bennett -- confirmed the news to Scout.com.

"They are real comfortable and they feel at home," Bennett told Scout.com. "It's a relaxed atmosphere. The coaching staff is awesome. They liked them as well. It fits their style of play. They just love it."

Bennett said the twins also considered Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Miami, VCU and North Carolina.

"Nothing gave them the feeling they got when they were at State," Bennett said.

Both 6-foot-6 wing prospects, the Martin twins bring a lot to the table. They are each capable of defending a handful of positions and offensively they are versatile and skilled scorers.

Cody is ranked No. 32 overall in the 2014 class, while Caleb checks in at No. 33.

The Martins are the first two verbal pledges for North Carolina State in their 2014 recruiting class.
