Ringer to SEC

The South Carolina Gamecocks snagged a solid three-star post on Tuesday evening.

There aren't many post players left on the board, and on Tuesday evening the South Carolina Gamecocks locked down one of the better remaining ones in the southeast.

Georgia native Desmond Ringer decided to commit to the Gamecocks on Tuesday. He tweeted his decision from his personal account.

Ringer is a mobile 6-foot-9 big man who has some definite potential. He runs the floor fairly well, will rebound on both ends of the floor, and also can block a shot or two.

Not an elite athlete or super skilled offensively, Ringer is simply solid in aspects down low, and plays like a true post player.

Ringer is a three-star prospect and the first commitment for Frank Martin in this 2013 recruiting class.
