McIntosh enjoys recent trip
Three-star guard Bryant McIntosh had a very good summer with the Eric Gordon All-Stars. Now the Greensburg (Ind.) High School product is beginning to host colleges for open gyms. Also he is making unofficial visits. At 6-foot-3, McIntosh has the ability to play nearly every position in the backcourt. He is a good athlete who shoots it well, and has a good idea of how to make others better. McIntosh showed that this summer running with Eric Gordon. "The summer was good," said McIntosh. "Our team really came together as our summer came along. I thought I played pretty well and I got some new recruiting looks." Over the summer he was tracked by numerous schools, and so far a few are beginning to really turn up the heat in his recruitment. "I am hearing a lot from Missouri, New Mexico, Indiana State, and Kent State," said McIntosh. "Western Michigan has offered and a couple of other schools are in the mix as well, but they haven't shown as much interest." Recently McIntosh took an unofficial visit to Missouri, and he came away quite impressed with what he saw. "It was a really nice visit," said McIntosh. "The atmosphere was crazy for SEC football. The fans were insane. It was a great visit. I met with the academic advisor, I got to see the dorm rooms, and I played in open gym with the team. It went really well." Due to distance McIntosh hasn't been able to make a trip to New Mexico yet, but the Lobos are hoping to take advantage of new visit rules and get him on campus before the end of the season. "I know Coach (Steve) Alford is coming in next week," explained McIntosh. "They try to stay in contact with me. I know they are pretty far away, but they are trying to get me out for an official visit sometime in January, so I am looking forward to that." At this point no other visits have been set in stone for McIntosh, but he does say one to Ball State is possible for next week. Currently McIntosh is putting no timetable on a decision, but he does know what will be the biggest factor in picking a school. "I am looking for a really good relationship with the head coach," he explained. "That's who makes the decisions when you come in and play. I feel a lot of the schools are fairly similar in terms of majors and facilities, so I am looking for a relationship with the head coach."
