West Virginia scored an early commitment from 2015 big Levi Cook. The talented big man entertained plenty of interest, but opted to stay home.

Levi Cook, a 2015 prospect out of Glen Daniel (W.V.) Liberty, ended his recruitment on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-9, 285-pound center verbally pledged to Bob Huggins and West Virginia late Wednesday evening. He announced the decision on his Facebook page.

Cook recently told Scout.com that he had college interest from UCLA, VCU, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Northern Kentucky, Marshall, Florida, Ohio State and Michigan.

Marshall and Northern Kentucky had offered Cook a scholarship.

Cook is currently ranked the No. 8 center in the 2015 class. He is West Virginia's first pledge in the class.
