Hart talks visits
Four-star wing Josh Hart made a trip to State College this past weekend for his official visit to Penn State. The 6-foot-5 Hart had some questions in mind before he made his trip, and those got answered. Now he is off to finish his official visit tour. For Hart he was looking forward to the Penn State visit. He was intrigued by the school, but wanted to find out more information. "Going in I had some questions about the support for the program with everything that had happened in the past several months, but when I was there everybody was talking to Coach (Pat) Chambers and telling him that they are looking forward to next season," said Hart of the trip. He continued, "Also going to the football game the fans obviously loved Penn State. That was a big question mark that was cleared up for me." Beyond that Hart also felt that it was a good place for him, and that things will be turning around for Penn State. "I really liked the team and I felt I fit in well with those guys," Hart explained. "They are definitely a team that is on the rise. I think they are definitely going to have a great year this year and then I expect big things." Hart has also made an official visit to Villanova, and he came away impressed with the school. It also doesn't hurt that the Wildcats already have a fellow D.C. area prospect in Kris Jenkins already in the fold. "It was a great experience," said Hart of Villanova. "Villanova just has a great group of high character guys. They were really up front to me in all areas of my recruitment about me and who they are recruiting at my position." He continued, "They have great facilities and the support that they have from the student body is great. Also they have Kris going up there, and that is a positive to have someone who is like a brother to me already up there." Up next for Hart this weekend is a trip to Rutgers for his third official visit. Also he has Miami scheduled for the end of September and Arizona for the end of October. With the Rutgers visit, Head Coach Mike Rice and assistant David Cox have put in a lot of work already, and Hart is just looking to get a better idea on the school while growing his relationship with the coaches and players. "I have a pretty good relationship with the coaching staff already, but I am looking to improve that," said Hart of Rutgers. "Also I am looking at how I fit in with their style of play and that kind of thing. Also I want to see the support that the community has for the basketball team." As of now Hart intends to take all of his visits before issuing a decision.
