Bryant is just scratching the surface of the type of player he could become.

As one of the most talented prospects in the 2015 class, Thomas Bryant is about to be one of the most coveted recruits in the country. Running with Team Scan during the summer, Bryant raised his stock to a new level, and for now is focused on being the best player he can be.

At 6-foot-9 with long arms, high level athleticism, and the ability to really handle and pass the basketball, Bryant can do nearly everything on the basketball court. He put that on display at the Hoop Group Future All-American Camp.

“It was great,” said Bryant. “It was a great experience and I think I played well and improved every day.”

During the summer coaches from schools such as Arizona, Syracuse, St. John’s, North Carolina, Connecticut, Rutgers, and Villanova along with many others made sure to check in on Bryant and watch him play. Still just a sophomore, Bryant says recruiting isn't on his mind.

“I haven’t even worried about the recruiting,” Bryant explained. “I am just focused on basketball.”

While for some kids not paying attention to a recruitment isn't easy, Bryant says he knows what he has to do to be the best player he can, and isn't going to let other stuff take away his attention at this point in time.

“I know I have a goal that I have set,” explained Bryant. “I want to play college basketball and play well enough that I can reach my ultimate goal of making it to the NBA.”

For now it is clear that getting better is the main focus for Bryant. However even at this early stage Bryant has a feeling for what he will be looking for in a school.

“I just look at academics and athletics,” said Bryant. “I want to see how the school is and if they help their players grow on and off the court.”

A native of Rochester, New York, Bryant checks in as the No. 1 power forward in the 2015 class and the No. 3 ranked prospect overall.
