The Ball State Cardinals needed a point guard in a big way in the 2013 class, and they were able to fill that need on the final day of July with three-star prospect Zavier Turner according to sources.
Turner, who helped lead Indianapolis (Ind.) Pike, to an appearance in the state title game has now made his decision. At 5-foot-9 Turner is a jet with the ball and is capable of scoring at a high level when he gets it going from deep.
He showed an improved ability to pass the ball as well as a desire to lead a team during the month of July. All month long Ball State was a consistent presence at his games and that led to the commitment.
This is the first pledge for the Cardinals in the class of 2013.
