Shaquille Carr, 6-1 SR PG Las Vegas (Nev.) Canyon Springs, is a pass-first point guard with a good feel and vision. He's not a big-time scorer at this time, but rather a distributor that makes his teammates better.

I spoke with Carr recently and asked about the schools that have been recruiting him to date.

"I've been hearing mainly from UNLV, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, UCLA, Oregon and USC," said Carr.

Carr said UNLV has extended a scholarship offer.

Carr has taken an unofficial visit to UNLV. I asked him if he has any other schools in mind for visits.

"I want to visit Arizona, Colorado and then UNLV again," said Carr.

Carr talked a little about the factors he will consider when it comes time to pick a school.

"I want a school where the coach lets me run the show," said Carr. "I want to be able to run the team. Early playing time isn't too important but it would be nice. My Mom wants me to go away from home."

I asked Carr if he has a feel for which schools are recruiting him the hardest.

"Colorado, UNLV and Arizona are recruiting me the hardest," said Carr.

Carr said he has no time frame for picking a school. He said he has a 3.0 GPA. Carr talked a little about the factors he will consider when it comes time to pick a school.
