Illinois State Head Coach Dan Muller is hoping to start keeping some top kids home to play for his program. He got that off to a good start when Paris Lee picked the program on Sunday night.
At nearly 6-foot-1 and 165 pounds, Lee isn't the most physically imposing guard, but he is someone that others hate to play against. Lee is one of the premier on-ball defenders in the Midwest, and made an impression with his play at the Nike Peach Jam playing with the Mac Irvin Fire.
Lee on offense is capable of getting to the rim and has shown to be a solid set up man. Still his bread and butter is pressuring the ball on the defensive end.
Along with Illinois State, schools such as Western Michigan, Northern Illinois, Ohio University, and others were showing Lee interest.
