Domingo goes with the Hoyas

Stephen Domingo

Stephen Domingo made his move. Recently he narrowed his list to Stanford, Harvard, Georgetown and Washington. Then Monday he sliced it to one and gave a verbal commitment.

Two weeks ago Stephen Domingo narrowed his list to four schools and said a decision was coming soon.

On Monday, the 6-foot-7 shooter forward out of San Francisco (Calif.) St. Ignatius College Prep, gave a verbal commitment to John Thompson III and the Georgetown Hoyas.

"I felt that I can develop as a player and person at Georgetown and my relationship with coach Thompson is very strong and I can not wait to learn more from him," Domingo told Scout.com.

Domingo fills a need for Georgetown in the 2013 class. He has a reputation as a shooter and is particularly accurate in catch and shoot situations. His range extends well past the three-point line.

With Domingo's commitment to Georgetown, he is their first pledge for the 2013 recruiting class. Prior to his commitment to the Hoyas, Domingo took unofficial visits to Stanford, Harvard and Washington.

Domingo, a four-star prospect, checked in at No. 85 in Scout.com's most recent 2013 player rankings.
