With the news that Jevon Thomas was going to re-classify to the 2013 class, the Dayton Flyers and head coach Archie Miller have been searching hard for a point guard, and on Tuesday they found one.
Dipping down into the state of Louisiana, the Flyers secured a verbal commitment from Khari Price. Price visited the Flyers over the weekend, and ultimately committed to the school on Tuesday.
"I committed to Dayton," said Price. "It was the support of the town, from the students to the general population that was big. Also the team is great who are great guys, and I think I can help them get over the top to win a championship."
With minutes available in the backcourt, Price feels he can make an immediate impact as a freshman.
"I think I can definitely come in and play a big role," said Price. "I can give Kevin Dillard a rest and play off the ball as a two guard. I just want to impact the game on both ends of the floor."
This is the third commitment of the 2012 class for Dayton. Price joins in-state forwards Jalen Robinson and Devon Scott in a solid class.
Price chose Dayton over South Florida, Mississippi State, Western Kentucky, and TCU.
