Cassell is back open

After a quick commitment to Maryland, things are back open for Sam Cassell Jr.

The commitment of Sam Cassell Jr. to the Maryland Terrapins did not last long. The Baltimore native who is doing a prep year at Fitchburg (Mass.) Notre Dame Prep picked the Terrapins only to de-commit a few days later.

Cassell Jr. confirmed his decision to re-open his recruitment via text message, and he will now consider Maryland, Villanova, South Florida, and Florida State before making another choice.

For now the three-star prospect just wants to see all of his options and felt as though he rushed into his choice.
