Three-star wing Markus Crider had a good prep school year and now is going through the recruiting process.

For North Bridgton (Maine) Academy forward Markus Crider it has been a good year. The post graduate student originally from Trotwood, Ohio has had an excellent season, and now the one time Providence signee is attracting significant recruiting attention.

At 6-foot-6, with good athleticism, long arms, and a versatile game, Crider had some solid moments for Bridgton this season.

“I feel like I did good this year,” said Crider. “I kind of wish I would have gone to prep school my senior year.”

He continued, “This experience has been great. I know in high school people were able to knock me for my motor, but after this year I don’t think anybody can knock me for my motor based on the year I had.”

Recruiting wise things are beginning to heat up for Crider. Now that his season is over, he is taking a much closer look at things.

“I am leaving it open and I am already qualified. I haven’t narrowed it down at all. I have been hearing from a lot of schools. Some of them are St. Bonaventure, Iona, George Mason, and Georgia State. Those are the ones that called me most recently.”

Right now Crider is planning an official visit to Georgia State, and then hopes to visit some of his other top schools afterwards.

Having been through the recruiting process once already, Crider now has a better idea of what to look for in a school and what is important to him in finding the right place for his future.

“This time I am looking more at a coaching staff and how I fit in the program,” said Crider. “Last time I don’t think I did that as much.”

Crider is a three-star prospect and one of the more versatile prospects still left in the 2012 class.
