Shabazz Muhammad

Quick Take:
The nation’s top recruit will not make his college choice during the early signing period. In fact, we expect Muhammad to wait for at least a couple of months. He has already taken official visits to Kentucky and Texas A&M. He has set up a trip to Duke for their big game against North Carolina. His father – Ron Holmes – told Scout.com that they will also visit Kansas, leaving just one official trip left. He has taken unofficial visits to all of the schools currently on his list.
Recruiting: Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Texas A&M, USC, UCLA, UNLV

Anthony Bennett

Size: 6-7/230 |
Quick Take: This one remains a mystery. What we know is that Anthony Bennett will wait until the spring, but what isn’t known is who – if anyone – has the best shot at landing him. Look for several schools to continue the battle for one of the nation’s most exciting players for the foreseeable future.
Recruiting: Kentucky, Connecticut, West Virginia, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Florida, Missouri, UNLV, Ohio State, Washington

Gary Harris

Size: 6-4/190 |
Quick Take: Right now it is down to Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State, and Kentucky. This is one where the kid and the family have kept things fairly close to the vest, and no one seems certain of where he is going. Right now there is some buzz surrounding Michigan State, the team that has been on him the longest and most consistently, but a decision isn't yet final. One should happen in very short order for the five-star guard, and one of the best offensive and defensive perimeter players in the class.
Recruiting: Kentucky, Michigan State, Purdue, Indiana

Alex Poythress

Size: 6-8/200 |
Quick Take: While he has four schools on his list, many believe Poythress' recruitment comes down to Kentucky, Memphis and Vanderbilt. The word is he wants to stay close to home and obviously those three schools are relatively close to where the Clarksville (Tenn.) native is from. Memphis has made a late push here, but don't sleep on Vanderbilt as they've been in the mix from the beginning. Kentucky is heavily involved too and Calipari is one you can never count out. Poythress will announce his decision on Thursday.
Recruiting: Kentucky, Florida, Memphis, Vanderbilt

Jarnell Stokes

Size: 6-8/250 |
Quick Take: Kentucky has made a strong with Jarnell Stokes, a product of Memphis (Tenn.) Southwind. He took his final official visit to Kentucky this past weekend and they are certainly a factor here. Prior to that visit, most would have pointed to Memphis and Arkansas as the favorites. This is an important recruit to these schools. Memphis is trying to keep their top recruits home, Arkansas has made him a top priority, while Calipari wouldn't have jumped in unless he thought he had a real shot. A decision could come during the early signing period, but it is unlikely.

Robert Carter

Size: 6-9/245 |
Quick Take: Rob Carter's recruitment hasn't been the most publicized, but it is certainly an important one in the South. Carter took his final official visit to Florida this past week. He has also taken recent trips to Georgia and Georgia Tech. It would be a surprise if he didn't pick one of those three programs. There are connections at Georgia Tech and they seem to be in good shape with the talented big man. He will announce Thursday evening.
Recruiting: Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Rhode Island, Kentucky

Tony Parker

Size: 6-8/255 |
Quick Take: Based on our interview with Tony Parker on Monday, we don't expect him to sign during the early period. He said he's done taking official visits, but that he likely won't make his decision until December. His last trip was to Duke the final weekend of October. Duke and Ohio State seem to be at the top of his list, but Parker isn't tipping his hand.
Recruiting: Duke, Ohio State, UCLA, Memphis

Amile Jefferson

Size: 6-8/200 |
Quick Take: An upcoming visit to Stanford is the only thing in the way of a decision from Jefferson. The five-star forward most recently visited NC State, and the Wolfpack seem to be the program with the most momentum at the moment. If it isn't NC State, Kentucky would probably have the best chance though Ohio State and Connecticut remain in the mix as well along with an outside shot of Villanova. Overall things are getting very interesting with Jefferson who is looking to decide at the end of the early signing period.

Devonta Pollard

Size: 6-7/195 |
Quick Take: Pollard has been fairly quiet since the summer, and he has been paying close attention to the football field where he suits up on the gridiron. Right now Pollard’s intent is to wait until the spring to sign. Texas, Mississippi State, Georgetown, and Kentucky are all firmly in the mix with Pollard who is one of the best combo forwards in the country.
Recruiting: Texas, Mississippi State, Georgetown, Kentucky

Ricardo Gathers

Size: 6-7/245 |
Quick Take: On Tuesday Ricardo Gathers opened up his recruitment and said that he would not sign in the early period. Although it is certainly very early, we expect a number of schools to try and get involved with Gathers' recruitment. Expect LSU to be a major factor in his recruitment.
Recruiting: LSU, Texas, California, USC

Robert Upshaw

Size: 6-11/240 |
Quick Take: After taking official visits to his four finalists, Upshaw could make a decision at any time. Popular belief is that Louisville or Fresno State are the most likely destinations for Upshaw, but this is a recruitment which has been filled with surprises and there are certainly no guarantees until he makes a decision, which is still expected to be in the fall, as of now.
Recruiting: Georgetown, Louisville, Fresno State and Kansas State

Winston Shepard

Size: 6-8/200 |
Quick Take: This is definitely a recruitment that will last until the spring and another one where it’s tough to have a great feel for at this point. Shepard has officially visited New Mexico and the Lobos have done a good job recruiting him, but the other schools on his list are very much in the mix and he plans on visiting all of them before making a decision.

Savon Goodman

Size: 6-6/200 | NR
Quick Take: Right now Savon Goodman is someone who is getting some attention in 2012, but still nothing is going to happen anytime in the near future here. Goodman has to sort out the grade situation before anything becomes official with his recruitment. There is talk around schools like Kentucky, but at this point slow the roll because Goodman is still likely looking at a move to the 2013 class, and that will indeed change the recruitment of him.

Torian Graham

Size: 6-4/175 |
Quick Take: There hasn't been much movement in Torian Graham's recruitment recently. There were rumors that he was going to visit Maryland last week, but that visit didn't happen. We don't expect Graham to make a college choice in the early period, or anytime in the near future for that matter.
Recruiting: Memphis, Kentucky, UConn, OSU, Maryland

Andrew White

Size: 6-6/205 |
Quick Take: Andrew White's situation has been a tough one to figure out. He has taken official visits to Louisville, Texas, Kansas and West Virginia. However, the Mountaineers are now out of scholarships, so they are no longer a factor. He still has one official visit left and it remains to be seen if he will use it. The overwhelming thought about White's recruitment is how hard it has been to figure out exactly who he's favoring. However, it does appear that Georgetown has become a legit factor in his recruitment. At this point, there isn't much that would surprise us about his recruitment.

Zena Edosomwan

Size: 6-9/225 |
Quick Take: Long considered a heavy lean to USC, another school on Edosomwan’s list has made itself a serious candidate. Harvard is gaining momentum on the Trojans and this race is now too close to call, to the point where it is no longer completely certain that Edosomwan will commit before Signing Day. USC could still land him, but Harvard is also firmly in the mix.

Wanaah Bail

Size: 6-7/185 |
Quick Take: Things all seemed set for Bail a month ago, but instead he and friend Michael Carey decided to hold off on a decision, and one likely won’t come until the spring. Oregon was seen as the leader before he decided to push back his commitment, and now things are wide open. If a scholarship opens up at hometown Houston pay close attention to the Cougars and what they have going on.

Charles Mitchell

Size: 6-7/250 |
Quick Take: Maryland, Florida State, Tennessee Rhode Island, Seton Hall, and Iowa have all been schools recently mentioned with Mitchell who has made no indication of if he intends to sign during the early period or not. Mitchell has stayed out of the media, so it isn't known what exactly his plans are, but he has made a few visits and is one of the top low post scorers available.
Recruiting: Maryland, FSU, Tennessee, Rhode Island, Seton Hall, Iowa

Chris Washburn

Size: 6-9/235 |
Quick Take: One of the best and unknown low block players in the class, Washburn emerged late and now is seeing more schools enter the fray for him. Recently he made an official visit to UTEP, and the Miners are considered the leader due to the job they have done recruiting him and the presence of his brother on the roster. Also Texas A&M, Kansas, Baylor, and Oklahoma State remain involved with Washburn. At the moment Washburn says that he will decide in the spring, but an early commitment shouldn’t be ruled out quite yet. Recruiting: UTEP, Texas A&M, Kansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State
