"I will be a UNC Tar Heel," Johnson tweeted.

North Carolina now has four commitments in the 2012 class. Johnson joins three four-star prospects in Marcus Paige, Joel James and J.P. Tokoto.

During the summer Johnson improved his play and really drew the eye of college coaches in July at the Nike Peach Jam. Johnson is a bouncy forward that blocks shots, runs the floor and can step out and shoot mid-range jump shots.

Johnson finished the summer regarded as a four-star prospect and ranked No. 46 overall in the 2012 recruiting class.
