Adam Woodbury made his pick Wednesday evening.
During a press conference at Sioux City (Iowa) East, Woodbury selected the Iowa Hawkeyes. Afterward Scout.com caught up with Woodbury.
“I just felt I would fit good in the system and I wanted to apart of something special at Iowa,” Woodbury told Scout.com.
Woodbury had intentions of taking a visit to North Carolina, but early in the week he opted to move forth with the process.
“It just clicked,” he said. “It's the place for me. I didn't want to waste any more time. I didn't see a point to take a visit to UNC when I knew where I wanted to go.”
To go with his offer from Iowa, Woodbury also had offers from North Carolina, Minnesota, Ohio State, Stanford and Wisconsin.
Woodbury is now the fourth verbal commitment for Iowa. He joins Mike Gesell, Kyle Meyer and Patrick Ingram to make up their four-man recruiting class.
Gesell and Woodbury played together in the Martin Brothers/All-Iowa Attack program.
“He's a pretty good recruiter,” he said. “I'm excited to play with him and be roommates.
Woodbury is the No. 47 recruit in the 2012 recruiting class.
