Katin Reinhardt is off the board again.
Last December Reinhardt pledged to USC. But after backing off his initial pick, Reinhardt became a hot name on the recruiting circuit. On Thursday he ended his recruitment again.
This time he went with UNLV, per his father -- Ernie Reinhardt.
"It’s a great choice," the elder Reinhardt told Scout.com. "It’s a great opportunity. He’s really excited about the coaching staff and what they are trying to do there."
Reinhardt had a wide range of college interest that included St. John’s, West Virginia, Texas and Baylor.
"The way the program is going is in a great direction," Katin told Scout.com. "I'm happy to be a part of it and it was the best decision for me."
This is Dave Rice’s second commitment for the 2012 class. Daquan Cook, a guard out of Baltimore (Md.), pledged to the Runnin’ Rebels two weeks ago.
Reinhardt is ranked No. 45 overall in the 2012 class and No. 11 at the shooting guard spot.
