Texas A&M's big weekend continued on Sunday.
Just two days after Billy Kennedy and the Aggies reeled in top 50 2012 prospect J-Mychal Reese, they snagged a commitment from Chicago (Ill.) Simeon standout Kendrick Nunn.
Nunn’s father – Melvin – who accompanied him on the unofficial visit said that his decision came down to relationships.
“The relationship we have with the Aggies assistant coaches,” he said. “It’s a good fit for him. They are going to build the team where he’s going to play around good players.”
“We were out here on this unofficial and I just don’t think we can get much better this,” the elder Nunn added.
Nunn, a 6-foot-2 guard, committed to Texas A&M, while in College Station (Tex.) for an unofficial visit. Nunn had high major interest from schools across the country, including Memphis and Illinois.
“They are ready to win and they are going to continue to win,” he continued. “They got a vision and we want to be part of that vision in 2013.”
Playing with Meanstreets this summer, Nunn established himself as one of the top guards in the 2013 class. He's currently rated No. 41 overall and is a four-star prospect.
Nunn is Texas A&M's first verbal pledge in the 2013 class.
