Brian Gregory and Georgia Tech kept a local kid home on Saturday.
Chris Bolden, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard out of Suwannee (Ga.) North Gwinnett, gave the Yellow Jackets staff a verbal commitment.
"I really like the atmosphere," Bolden said. "My relationship with the coaches is great and I think I'll be a good fit there."
In late July, Bolden claimed Harvard as his leader. He also had interest from Texas A&M, USC, Mississippi, Miami and Virginia Tech.
Bolden was once committed to Miami, but backed off his pledge because of Frank Haith's departure.
Bolden is Georgia Tech's first commitment in the 2012 class.
