Bolden pledges to local school

Chris Bolden will stay close to home. The 2012 prospect gave a verbal commitment on Saturday.

Brian Gregory and Georgia Tech kept a local kid home on Saturday.

Chris Bolden, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard out of Suwannee (Ga.) North Gwinnett, gave the Yellow Jackets staff a verbal commitment.

"I really like the atmosphere," Bolden said. "My relationship with the coaches is great and I think I'll be a good fit there."

In late July, Bolden claimed Harvard as his leader. He also had interest from Texas A&M, USC, Mississippi, Miami and Virginia Tech.

Bolden was once committed to Miami, but backed off his pledge because of Frank Haith's departure.

Bolden is Georgia Tech's first commitment in the 2012 class. Recommended Stories
