Shortly after completing an impressive tournament at the St. Louis Summer Classic, Semaj Christon decided that it was time to end his recruitment. The fast rising point guard made his choice, and elected to stay close to home and attend Xavier University.
Although he has been under the national radar for quite some time, Christon has had an excellent spring and summer, and now the four-star guard knows his future. He will attend a post-grad year at Wolfeboro (NH) Brewster Academy before returning back to his native Cincinnati to attend Xavier.
“They just believed in me,” said Christon of Xavier. “The coaching staff is real cool, and also I think they will definitely let me play my game.”
In the end Christon selected Xavier over offers from Illinois, Providence, and Georgetown. He just felt that Xavier was the right fit for him.
“They play my style of game,” said Christon. “They play fast and their guards have a lot of freedom.”
Christon joins Myles Davis in the class as the backcourt, and up front Xavier still holds commitments from Sim Bhullar, James Farr, and recently re-classified power forward Jalen Reynolds.
