Kansas picked up their first 2013 commitment just two days after the first July evaluation period.
Conner Frankamp, of Wichita (Kansas.) North, gave Bill Self and his staff the word on Sunday, according to Kansas Pump N' Run coach L.J. Goolsby.
"Conner Frankamp committed to Kansas today," Goolsby texted to Scout.com.
Frankamp confirmed the news to Scout.com.
"Well it has been my dream to go there my whole life," Frankamp said. "And just to be committed there is a dream come true and I'm very excited to be a Jayhawk."
Over the summer, Frankamp, a 6-foot-1, 160-pound guard, participated on the U16 USA Basketball team that won the FIBA Americas Championship in Cancun.
Through five games, Frankamp averaged 8.6 points, nearly assists and was 56-percent from the field.
Frankamp is ranked No. 74 overall in the 2013 class and is rated as a four-star prospect.
