Thok planning visits
There's still over a month to go before 6-foot-11, 225-pound Sioux City (Iowa) East 2012 center Mading Thok makes a decision and to help him get to that point he's in the process of setting up some visits. He had previously set up a visit to New Mexico on June 17 which didn't go through, but he's got others in mind. "(New Mexico) didn't happen because something got in the way but I still plan on visiting in August because all June I'll be gone," Thok said. "Next Monday I might go to San Francisco and maybe Nebraska sometime next week. "Other schools want me to visit like Tulane, Washington State and Bradley; I just talked to them last week. When it will be I don't know but maybe in August. But right now I don't think there's a chance because I have a lot of stuff going on." Thok says that San Francisco and Ball State have both offered, with Nebraska and New Mexico offers coming should he visit those schools. He broke down the four main schools on his list. San Francisco: "They've been recruiting me all these years and they really want me to go down there and see the campus and what they have to offer. I haven't met any of them because they were watching me in July last year and I don't really know them physically but they are talking to me." Ball State: "I took a visit down there in May and it was a good campus, I liked it. I just have to see other campuses and compare them to see which one is the best for me." New Mexico: "Coach (Steve) Alford is a really good coach and that's one of the biggest things I'm looking for in college basketball because you really have to good coach who can help you get to the next level." Nebraska: "They have been recruiting me almost two years and we're building a good relationship. The coach recruiting me has done a really good job, and I really like how they're recruiting me right now. I like their basketball program. They're going to go to their Big Ten and maybe that will make a big difference in their basketball program." Thok plans on going through at least the next month and a half before he's ready to make a decision. "Maybe in August after we're done playing AAU," he said. "Then I'll see what I've got."
