EYBL Dallas: Top Performers

FRISCO, Texas -- The second EYBL session provided us with plenty of highlights and top performances, but only a few stood out as the best performers of the weekend.

Ricardo Ledo

Size: 6-6/175 |
Quick Take: When the City Rocks need a bucket it's nice to turn to one of the nation's top scorers to do so. Ledo's jump shot looks effortless and his range goes well past the three-point stripe. But he's not just a shooter, he loves to go off the bounce and pull-up for mid-range jump shots or attack the basket and finish in the paint.

Recruiting: Kentucky, Connecticut, UCLA, Texas, Providence, Syracuse, Florida and Florida State

Braxton Ogbueze

Size: 6-0/160 |
Quick Take: Making a case for the top lead guard in the country, Ogbueze had a strong weekend in Dallas. Blessed with a strong frame and impressive quickness, Ogbueze got where he wanted on the floor and put his terrific jump shot on display. At the Carolina Challenge a month ago, he scored it off catch and shoot threes, in Dallas it was pull-up jump shots off the dribble. He also mixed in some drive and kicks and created for his teammates.

Committed: Florida

J-Mychal Reese

Size: 6-1/165 |
Quick Take: The talented guard out of Houston is have a strong spring. He caught talent evaluators eye in Hampton a few weeks back and he was among the best lead guards in Dallas this past weekend. He's quick and knows how to create space for his shot opportunities. His mid-range game is on point and he loves to push the tempo. His stock is certainly on the rise.

Recruiting: Kansas, Baylor, Louisville

Marcus Paige

Size: 6-0/155 |
Quick Take: It didn't take long to realize that this wasn't the same Marcus Paige that was in Hampton a few weeks ago. In Hampton his knee was bothering him, but in Dallas he looked 100-percent. He raced up the floor tossing out assists to cutting teammates. He also hit pull-up jump shots and made plays in transition. He's among the best point guards the 2012 class has to offer.

Committed: North Carolina

Jerami Grant

Size: 6-6/185 |
Quick Take: In Hampton a few weeks ago it was Arnaud Moto that made a name for himself from Team Takeover. In Dallas, it was Jerami Grant that impressed. Clearly more athletic than this time last year, Grant attacked the basket and finished well in the paint. He proved to be a very good scorer attacking from the high post and has a knack for getting to the free throw line. He's a top five small forward in the 2012 group.

Recruiting: Clemson, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Georgetown, N.C. State, Maryland and Virginia

Omar Calhoun

Size: 6-4/175 |
Quick Take: Scoring isn't an issue for New York native Omar Calhoun. Every time we looked at his court he seemed to be finishing a play or knocking down a jump shot. He's aggressive offensively and has really developed a strong ability to score from just about every level. In a class where four of the top 10 lead guards are off the board, Calhoun will certainly be a priority recruit.

Recruiting: Connecticut, Villanova, Louisville, West Virginia, Virginia, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Miami, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and North Carolina

Jabari Bird

Size: 6-5/190 |
Quick Take: One of the top scorers in the country regardless of class, Jabari Bird has proved himself as a five-star prospect. He's capable of scoring from all three levels and he's the proud owner of an impressive jump shot from not only behind the three-point stripe, but also from mid-range. He had one of the best dunks of the weekend when he put a one-handed throw down on a defender on the first night.

Recruiting: Arizona, Washington and California

Archie Goodwin

Size: 6-4/180 |
Quick Take: We only took in a half, but it was worth noting that the half was strong. He threw down the best dunk I've seen this summer, but also showed he's capable of taking over a game at just about any time. Attacking the basket, he's extremely tough to stop and once he's in the paint he scores it at a high rate.

Recruiting: Arkansas, Baylor, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi, Kansas, Louisville, Florida State and Connecticut
