Braxton Ogbueze made a verbal pledge to Billy Donovan and Florida on Wednesday.
A 6-foot, 170-pound energetic guard, Ozbueze picked the Gators over strong interest from Baylor, Clemson, Wake Forest, South Carolina, Tennessee and plenty of other high major programs.
"He's committed to University of Florida," Godwin Obueze, Braxton's father, said.
"He said coach Donovan played his position and he was a special guard," he added. "He played that position and he have a lot of experience that he wanted to learn from him as a head coach."
The Charlotte (N.C.) United Faith Christian standout is a unique guard that has the ability to play the point guard spot and create for teammates, but he's also a terrific overall scorer.
Currently Ogbueze ranks as a four-star prospect. He's ranks No. 41 overall and No. 7 at the point guard position.
Ogbueze is the second member of Scout.com's 2012 top 75 to verbally pledge to the Florida Gators. He joins No. 31 Michael Frazier.
