Stars Play Key Roles For Ravens
Dion Bethea’s South Carolina Ravens took out the North Carolina Gaters last weekend at a super regional site in Augusta, Ga. The Ravens defeated Steve Shelton’s group 99-75 in the title game.
According to Bethea, Ra'Sean Dickey poured in a game-high 29 points against a very good Gaters front line led by Cedric Simmons. “”Simmons had four fouls going into the third quarter,” Bethea said. “Simmons has a pro body. He’s long too.”
Zam Frederick tossed in 26 for the Ravens and 2004 swingman Ronald White chipped in with 20. The win will qualify the Ravens for the AAU national tournament in July.
