Andre Drummond, Isaiah Austin and Shabazz Muhammad rank as the top three prospects in the updated 2012 player rankings.

Scout.com 2012 Top 75

The class of 2012 is the year of the big men. Of the top 75 prospects there are 34 centers and power forwards listed, plus five of the top 10 are five-men.

Leading off the list is 6-foot-11, 265-pound center Andre Drummond. A dominant post prospect that is equipped with athleticism, great hands and terrific size, Drummond has a chance to be one of the best big mans of the decade.

Checking in just behind Drummond is Baylor commit Isaiah Austin. A 7-foot center, Austin has a unique blend of size, skill and mobility. He’s just starting to touch his potential and once he figures it all out it’s scary how good Austin could be.

Following the top two centers is the top rated small forward – Shabazz Muhammad. The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder is the top prospect on the west coast and he’s a tough, athletic swingman that scores it in a variety of ways.

Cameron Ridley made the jump from No. 6 to No. 4 in the new batch of rankings. An aircraft carrier type big man, he’s averaging 19 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks to start his junior season and seems to keep getting better.

Closing out the top five is Brandon Ashley, a 6-foot-8, 205-pound versatile forward. Ashley put together a strong summer with the Oakland Soliders and is an athletic four-man that moves well and has a solid skill set.

DaJuan Coleman, Ricardo Ledo, Rodney Purvis, Kaleb Tarczewski and Amile Jefferson close out to the top 10.

Purvis is new to the list, as he reclassified from the 2013 class to the 2012. An interesting guard prospect, we classified Purvis as a lead guard, but he’s a guy that could end up playing either guard spot in college.

Tarczewski is also new to the top 10, sliding up from No. 12 to 9. The 7-footer continues to add to his game and is starting to show confidence on the offensive side of things, and that’s a scary thing for the opposition.

Savon Goodman was one of the biggest movers in the new set of rankings. He jumped from No. 43 to No. 24. Michael Frazier jumped 18 spots to No. 31. Jerami Grant made a big jump from No. 72 to No. 43. Negus Webster-Chan was also a big mover as he jumped 25 spots to No. 45.

The new names to the list are Torian Graham, Adam Woodbury, Mike Geselle, Mitch McGary, Kareem Canty, Steven Adams, Stefan Jankovic and Purvis.
