Sir'Dominic Pointer

Dominique Pointer, a St. John's signee, and Chane Behanan, a Louisville signee, were among the top five standouts at the Marshall County Hoopfest.

Quick Take: On a fairly big stage, Porter, a 6-foot-9 forward emerged as a potential four-star prospect and a sure fire high major guy. He's flown under the radar after not playing on the AAU circuit and holds just a couple high major offers. He went for 29 points on 14-for-21 and snagged 13 rebounds. We had heard he was a power forward, however we are classifying him as a wing forward. He moves fluidly, has an impressive overall skill set and shoots the ball very well. Perhaps the most impressive thing about his game was his ability to knock down mid-range jump shots.

Quick Take: On back-to-back days Pointer played an aggressive and tough brand on basketball. A high-level athlete, Pointer uses his strength and leaping ability to score around the rim. He finished through contact and also showed more confidence on his jump shot from long and mid-range. He scored 21 points in a win over Christ School on Friday then went for 18 against Oak Hill in a two-point loss. Porter is getting better at the right time and is primed for a bump in our next rankings.

Quick Take: Despite battling foul trouble for nearly his entire game, Behanan, a 6-foot-7, 240-pound power forward headed to Louisville, rose to the occasion when Bowling Green (Ky.) High needed him the most. Strapped with four fouls and in a tie game with less than 30 seconds left, Behanan took a pair of dribbles and buried a 15-foot jump shot. The shot turned out to be the game winner. Behanan finished with 18 points and seven rebounds.

Quick Take: It didn't start out real well for Adams, but as the game progressed, Adams continued to get better. The 6-foot-5 wing prospect used his body well when he attacked the basket and managed a handful of buckets around the basket. In a game that featured a number of athletes, Adams worked hard on the glass to the tune of 12 rebounds. He added 21 points and hit a big three-pointer when Oak Hill was mounting their comeback on Quality Education Academy.

Quick Take: The most impressive underclassman at the Hoopfest was this 6-foot guard out Louisville (Ky.) Ballard. The talented guard sliced through the defense and pushed the break at every opportunity. He's the proud owner of a terrific jump shot with range that extends well past the three-point line. He made big plays in this one, including a basket plus one to help send the game to overtime. He finished 8-for-11 and scored 24 points in Ballard's overtime win.
