Savon Goodman made his college choice. A talented 6-foot-5 athlete, Goodman will play in the Big East.

Villanova's 2012 recruiting class got off to a great start when they scored highly rated point guard Ryan Arcidiacono.

On Tuesday, Jay Wright and his staff scored some serious wing talent for Arcidiacono to create for when 6-foot-5 wing Savon Goodman gave them a verbal pledge.

The four-star prospect confirmed the news to via text message.

Among the other schools involved with Goodman were Pittsburgh, Texas, Kentucky, Arizona and Penn State.

An energy guy, Goodman has a strong motor and plays hard on both ends of the floor. He's a high-level athlete that is at his best attacking the basket and defending.

Goodman is ranked No. 10 at the small forward position and No. 43 overall in the 2012 class.
