Mike Shaw made his college choice on Thursday. He'll play in the Big Ten.

Bruce Weber scored his fourth top 100 prospect on Thursday.

Mike Shaw, a standout at Chicago (Ill.) De La Salle, will announce his decision to attend Illinois at a press conference at his school, according to a pair of sources.

Shaw is a significant pick up for Illinois, as he’ll add a different dimension to their team and recruiting class. A 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward, Shaw is a prospect that spends a lot of time on the glass and has turned into a terrific rebounder.

Illinois’ 2011 class now consists of four four-star recruits all from Illinois. Shaw joins Mychael Henry, Nnanna Egwu and Tracy Abrams as Illinois commitments.

Shaw is ranked No. 66 overall and No. 15 at the power forward spot.
