James Leads East Past West
Whether you were at home watching or among the near 20,000 fans in the crowd, you noticed one thing on Wednesday, when LeBron James was in the game, the East team did well.
James led the East All-Stars in the 122-107 victory over the West. He was named the game’s MVP and scored 27 points on a 12-for-24 shooting night (James took the most shots in the game). He handed out 5 assists in the first six minutes of the game and shared the ball well.
A quick run down the stat sheet credited Leon Power with 15 points and 12 rebounds and he looked very comfortable for the West. His teammates, Kris Humphries and J.R. Giddens, each scored 16 points. Ndudi Ebi had his moments as well and went for 11. Shannon Brown turned in a complete effort with 23 points.
Chris Paul led all players with a game-high 10 assists. Charlie Villanueva made nice with James early, ran the floor and was the recipient of some sweet passes for dunks. Big James Lang scored 15 and had 10 rebounds. He’s going to be a force, but he needs college first.
The dunk of the evening, in our opinion, belonged to Von Wafer. The small forward attacked Lang much like Kobe attacked Yao and threw down a vicious one-handed jam right on top of the unsigned senior.
