Jalen Robinson is back on the board, as he decommitted from West Virginia.

Jalen Robinson backed off of a commitment to West Virginia on Friday.

Robinson's assistant high school coach at Columbus (Ohio) Northland and mentor confirmed the news to Scout.com.

"We just decided that we are going to decommit," Vic Dandrige told Scout.com. "And we did. He's hoping to improve his options and then explore those options."

Robinson, a 6-foot-9, 215-pound power forward, gave Bob Huggins a verbal pledge in December of last year.

"He's just trying to rededicate himself in the whole basketball arena," Dandrige said. "He wants to get better, bigger, stronger, faster and get better in school."

According to Dandridge, Robinson is working on his body and is a prospect with a high ceiling.

"Jalen has a great upside," Dandridge said. "He's now 6'9 and he has tremendous foot work."

At this point, Robinson doesn't have a school list.
