UNC Hosts Watkins
Darryl Watkins, one of the top unsigned big men in the country, is making an official visit beginning on Sunday. Watkins will visit the campus of North Carolina for the Tar Heels NIT game.
The Tar Heels have been aggressively chasing Watkins the entire season. The Playaz Basketball Club center is also being courted by teams like Kentucky, Seton Hall and Rutgers to name a few.
Watkins managed to put together a senior season that was quite impressive. He’s made huge strides with his offensive game and had a career-high 54-point game late in the season. He’s one of the most improved players we’ve seen all year.
