Florida State locked in on Aaron Thomas last summer. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Cincinnati Aiken picked the Seminoles over Clemson, Nebraska and Cincinnati.
“It was a good program and they have pros in the league,” Thomas told Scout.com. “Off the court they were like family.”
Leonard Hamilton’s team was looking to reload on the wing and Thomas’ 22.1 points per game will fit nicely next to sniper Terry Whisnant out of Cherryville High in N.C.
Thomas is a bucket maker. He’s an aggressive player on offense that has a knack for knocking down jumpers and getting to the rim. He should have little trouble adjusting to the physicality of the college game. His summer with the Queen City Prophets led by Ozie Davis was a major reason for the up tick in his interest.
